Creating an effective stand out brand is a work in progress.
Here’s my best advice to you…
Don’t wait for everything to be perfect, it just won’t happen.
Start right now, right where you are at.
Get yourself out there, and keep refining things as you and your business grow.
And, YES!!! You really do need an online BRAND that positions you, your business powerfully.
Here’s why…
According to CNBC, Black Friday pulled in a record $6.22 billion in online sales: data sourced from Adobe Analytics
- Online sales Black Friday jumped 23.6 percent from a year ago, according to a new report from Adobe Analytics.
- The Friday after Thanksgiving this year was also the first day in history to see more than $2 billion in sales stemming from smartphones.
- Cyber Monday sales online are expected to set a new record of $7.8 billion, up nearly 18 percent from last year.
And, those numbers are only growing each year.
A powerful stand out brand online is a game changer.
Digital technology allows anyone to publish, promote and engage with a global audience.
The real power of this is that it puts the tools you need to grow personally, professionally and financially in your hands, should you choose to use them.
You no longer have to rely on antiquated marketing models to gain attention and market share.
You have the ability to thrive and prosper in the GLOBAL marketplace.
Start building your own online platform with a blog or website that you control and own.
Create helpful content and engage with your ideal audience on social networks.
You can use LinkedIn, Facebook or Twitter or even Pinterest and Instagram if that’s where your ideal clients are spending their time.
You have lots of options available to you. Do some research to discover which social networks resonate with your target market. Start and Master just one. Then move on to the next!
Here are a few other tips to help you create YOUR stand out brand:
- Always be authentic
- Build your email list
- Focus on serving your clients
- Connect with other online influencers
- Join online groups
- Learn how to use keywords and phrases that people will use to find you and your topic
- Learn to use Linkedin effectively (my absolute favorite)
- Grow your Network
- Don’t be afraid to have an opinion about things
- Always ask questions with the intention of gaining a better understanding
- Recognize the people who have helped you! Take the time to shine the light on others!
- Create a memorable slogan that expresses your mission and purpose
- Teach in your niche: generously share the “insider information” you have with others
- Develop your unique voice to become an influencer and thought-leader in your area of expertise. (One of my all-time favorite books on “influence” is Dale Carnegie’s “How to Win Friends and Influence People”)
- Examine and analyze your metrics to see what’s working and what isn’t
- Forget about you and remember it’s all about your Ideal Audience
