Take a moment and just Breathe

As we continue this month on the topic of “Finding balance between work and what matters most to you in life” I want to share something with you that came to my mind yesterday.

I’d like to let you in on a little journey that I encountered within the last 2 years.

Let’s go back two years ago, when I met the most amazing man, my fiancé. After many failed relationships I never thought I’d finally meet “Mr. Wonderful“.

It was truly after many long years of praying, unhealthy relationships, and failed attempts; I never lost hope in finding the man of my dreams.

I was an adult leader at the church in which I attended. On this particular Sunday, Will walks in to play the guitar on the worship team.

That year, I was so into leadership, business, church; which my focus wasn’t on seeking “Mr. Wonderful“. However, God had a completely different plan for my life.

That night a homeless couple had come into the church, which, was my job to be able to find them shelter.

I remember that Will (my now fiancé) was so interred at how BIG of a heart I had for people. Furthermore, how selfless I was in being able to go out of my own way to care for someone in need.

It was at that very moment that Will’s heart was falling after mine.

That night he asked me for my phone number. I gave it to him simply stating “please only call me for leadership matters”, as my goals were not set on starting a relationship at that time.

Well, to make a long story short, God knew what he was doing.

It was a long two year journey; we had so many uphill battles that we had to face. When I entered Will’s life, he had no one.

A man from another country who’s worth ethic was like none I’ve ever seen before.

He had a heart for people, which left me breathless.

However, the challenge we had to face as a couple was something that I certainly didn’t sign up for.

A few weeks ago, I received my victory. Where I was able to look at the challenges we had to overcome and say goodbye.

God took those mountains and moved them out of the way.

The word in which he gave me while Will had to go to court to face the judge as to whether he was going to be allowed to stay in this country or have to pack his belongings and go back to a country that he truly never called home was the word “BREATH“.

Here is the video I’d like to share with you. For some you might not be ready for this and that is ok, however, I think for most of you go ahead and click the play button.

This may be exactly what you’ve been waiting for.

I would love to hear from you what you do during a rough situation that comes your way?
What do you do during challenging times to get you though to the other side?
