INTRODUCING LINKEDIN KUDOS

LinkedIn Kudos is the newest kind of social proof on LinkedIn. It was introduced in June 2018 and has proven itself to be a very popular tool for business owners and leaders.

LinkedIn members who are connected to one another can give kudos to each other.

Kudos comes from the Greek and means acclaim or praise for exceptional achievement. On LinkedIn, it’s like giving a virtual high-five to someone for their great achievement or contribution.

 

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF USING LINKEDIN KUDOS?

As the receiver of Kudos, you should expect more profile visitors and connection requests, because the Kudos that you receive is not only visible to you, but to all the connections of the person who gave you Kudos.

By praising you for your exceptional achievement that person is essentially “promoting” you within their network, making everyone aware of just how awesome you are.

As the person who gives Kudos, you are positioning yourself as a true leader and team player because acknowledging other’s efforts is a skill that shows great servant leadership.

HOW TO GIVE KUDOS

Giving Kudos on LinkedIn is very simple, the function is available on Mobile (iOS and Android) and on Desktop computers as well. Watch the video for a step-by-step guide about how to give LinkedIn Kudos to someone.

Visit your connection’s profile and under the „More…” drop-down menu, you can find the „Give Kudos” option. Then select what kind of Kudos you want to give from the available options, and then fill out the Kudos card with information. It’s quick and simple!

To give Kudos to a group of people, go to your feed on desktop or open the app on your iOS or Android device.  Tap or click on the ribbon icon on the bottom, to set your post type to kudos. Select a connection or multiple people to send Kudos to. Choose the appropriate Kudos, post to share the Kudos to your LinkedIn feed.

Keep in mind that there are a limited number of LinkedIn Kudos available every week. The reasoning behind this is that you should give LinkedIn Kudos for truly exceptional achievements and recognition. The number of Kudos that you can give during any week, is displayed within the application.
