10 Tips On Enhancing Your Career

Everything happens by design
1. Keep focus on YOUR responsibilities, not on others
If you’re looking at your competitor and trying to copy him, you can run into dangerous territory because you’re not focusing on your business.
Take responsibility for where you are and learn the tools necessary to move yourself forward in a positive way. Do what you know you can do vs. what you can't do! You can't change anyone; you can only change yourself. As you change, others will change in response to you!
Whatever you focus on, you will become better at mastering. If you focus on the things you can't do, you'll only bring yourself down and feel depressed. Look at these as areas where you can grow and improve. The more skills you bring to the marketplace, the more $$ you make.
Focus on what others can do. If you surround yourself with a group of individuals who can bring something to the table in different fields, you now have a strong team bringing different areas to the table to develop whatever your focus is. No one person can be a master at everything.
You can change how you treat you boss, and in return, it will have your boss treating you differently. Often times, people look at their boss as if their boss is out to get them. If you start thinking positively about your boss, you will be surprised at the results.
3. Focus on what you have vs. what you don't have.
What do you have and what can you do to get where you need to be? Those who get it are those who go get it! Don’t worry about the things you don't have. So many times people will say to me that they don't have the resources, but yet when they dig deep, the resources are right in front of them.
Your in complete control of your financial crisis, not the banks not the mortgage company. You are in charge of your finances. If you’re in debt and live off credit cards, you created that mess; no one else did. You need to learn the basic skills to get you out of the rut.
Can you improve your financial situation? Yes, because it's a skill you can develop. No one becomes great without practice.
Developing better people skills can only help to achieve success. No matter how good your people skills may be, there is always room for improvement. Even Donald Trump still works on the basic skills daily. Weigh your ego with your bank account and find out what weighs more. If you’re not where you want to be in life, you have to sharpen the axe on your skill sets.
You get motivated by what you don't want vs. what you want. You don't want to become that sleazy salesmen or woman, so you work on developing yourself to what you do want to become. You don't want to be a haunt to people. You need to work on developing business relationships that are professional where people will want to talk to you vs. run away.
Think of things you want to go after. How badly do you want success? I know I crave for better each and every day. I'm continually surrounding myself with positive and inspirational people. I surround myself with people I want to become like. I read books that inspire me. What are you preparing for? Maybe it's a 5k race that you’re going to run so you start small and do something each day to reach you ultimate goal.
How can you help others succeed? What gives you the ability to do what you do? You need to speak positive words into others. Out of the heart the mouth speaks, and it's important that you speak life into people. People respond when you’re lifting them up. Some of the most successful people today have missed the mark so many times, but it's not where you are that matters, it’s where you’re going that counts! Focus on where you’re going verses how many times you may have missed.
8. Work on your greatest strength and avoid your weaknesses.
If you’re not good at computers or public speaking, then avoid anything that has to do with those things. Focus on the areas in which you have strengths, and find how you can apply those strengths to a career!
A. What you talk about others will follow.
B. what you focus on everyone else follow
Like attracts like. When you choose to be a leader vs. a follower, people will respect you more. Why? Because people respect people who have an opinion and who can express themselves well. You want to be a leader so others can follow you, but at the same time allowing them to create their own identity. A leader gives people tools and techniques to use but never says act, talk and walk like me
10. Focus on what you are selling vs. what you are going to be selling
You have to be in the moment and focus on what's in front of you.
